Who sees what

| Your campus verifier | Your name, photo, campus, department, small group and who invited you, to confirm you're a member. Nothing from your profile. Every view is logged. |
| The two who vouch for you | Your name, photo and campus. Never your answers or who you talk to. |
| The door host at a Knit evening | Your first name, campus and the photo you add when you join, one ticket at a time, to let you in. |
| Church leadership | Counts only, such as how many members are confirmed. Never a name. |
| The Knit team | A conversation only when it's reported, and only the part needed to deal with the report. |
What we never do
- Sell or share your data for advertising.
- Ask for your ID. You tell us your name, date of birth and gender, and the photo you add when you join is kept encrypted, never on your profile.
- Make a profile public or findable by search engines.
- Put names or photos in notifications, WhatsApp messages or texts.
Your choices
Download your data
From Settings. We send you a message with a link when it's ready.
Close your account
You can restore it for 90 days. After that your profile, photos and conversations are deleted. Verification records are kept 24 months for safety audits.
Hide people
Add a number and you'll never be introduced. They're never told.
Pause updates
Reply STOP to any Knit WhatsApp message, or turn updates off in Settings. Security codes still arrive.
